I just found this on SCAtoday.net:

John Brooke-Little, Clarenceux King of Arms of England, who did much through his persuasive
writings to advance an interest in the subject of heraldry, died on Feb. 13, 2006 at the age of
78. 

Brooke-Little was a royal herald of England for over 40 years, working on Queen Elizabeth II's
coronation in 1953. He also served as Bluemantle Pursuivant, Richmond Herald and Norroy & Ulster
King of Arms.
