No, before asked, this is not an etiquette question. ;-)
I was wondering if there was a collected list on charges and how they are colored when termed proper. I know a lot are self evident and some are listed in the precedents, but I am wondering if they had been collected in a more easy to search format. I find that periodically I have questions on this and do not really have a definitive source.
My current question, if someone is inclined to answer, is regarding oak trees proper. I know the coloration is green for the leaves and brown for the trunk, but are oak trees fructed by default or does that need to be specifically specified. I am betting the later, but I honestly do no know for sure. If they are fructed I believe the default coloration for the acorns would be Or.
Alright, since I am here and already asking questions, does anyone know specifically what the difference would be in drawing a “English oak [Quercus Robur]” or at this point (device was registered in 1976) should I not even be concerned about it. I, unfortunately, do not have access to the original emblazon to look at as I would actually like.
