[ANSTHRLD] Reference Works for Heraldic Supporters

Can anyone suggest a reference work addressing heraldic supporters (Hopefully one with a variety of illustrated examples)?  Parker's Dictionary leads me to believe that period examples are few, with the primary medium being glass windows.
   
  From what I've seen in books such as Fox-Davies, the posture of beasts seem to be the same as rampant in armory. The examples of birds are few and figuring out how to depict something other than an owl or heron/crane eludes me.
