I still don't see how 'Per pale azure ermined Or and argent' could be confused with, or related to
'Per pale argent and gules', but if that's the way the rules are written, then so be it.

Evolving the submitter's request then, how does the following look? 'Per pale azure ermined Or and
argent, a bend counterchanged.'
