Ever heard of the Gore roll of arms? It's an 18th Century American (yes,
_American_) roll of arms, created in Boston, Massachusetts before the
Revolutionary War. A little bit has been published before about it, but
most of what is easily and inexpensively available is rife with errors.
There is now a new book on the Gore roll, and for the first time with
illustrations (black and white line drawings) of the arms contained
therein.
