Yes I agree about the tables. But my personal experience? Big tables with people looking also leads to directing a client to a name that they, in retrospect, cannot live with.
Thus the reason I asked for mine to be withdrawn. It was a great learning experience for me though.
And this new Herald's nobody's dummy. I will ask 101 questions before I truly believe anything is "straight forward!"

Wars and other major consult tables can be useful if you need
high-powered consulters, unusual sources, whatever. However, major
consult tables also tend to produce a spike in submission volume,
loading the commenters and kingdom heralds more heavily as the pig
travels thru the boa. If a submission is straightforward enough that
you can handle it without going thru a consult table, it can be more
helpful. Unfortunately, new heralds have a hard time telling whether
something is straightforward ...
