The link on this page for:

Place Names of Scotland by James Johnson (digitized) 

has the author's name wrong.  It's Johnston.  Johnson is a different author
who wrote a different placename book.  Here's the author's name from the
website:  James Brown Johnston

Also, be warned.  This is the 2nd edition.  It has errors that were
corrected in the 3rd edition (which is the version the SCA generally uses).

Oh, and the 1292 census of Paris is also in GoogleBooks.  It's at:
