The link on this page for:
Place Names of Scotland by James Johnson (digitized)
has the author's name wrong. It's Johnston. Johnson is a different author
who wrote a different placename book. Here's the author's name from the
website: James Brown Johnston
Also, be warned. This is the 2nd edition. It has errors that were
corrected in the 3rd edition (which is the version the SCA generally uses).
Oh, and the 1292 census of Paris is also in GoogleBooks. It's at:
http://books.google.com/books?id=YTwDAAAAYAAJ
Here's what the listing in the Medieval Name Archive has to describe the
source:
Paris sous Philippe - le - Bel, Hercule Géraud
An 1837 edition of the 1292 Paris census. Some accents and punctuation are
editorial additions, and do not reflect the original thirteenth-century text.
