[ANSTHRLD] KWHSS 2009

The big thing you'll run into on college campuses over the summer is
conflicting with camps. Alternately, it's entirely possible to contract
with a college/university to use their space *as* a camp, providing housing
& such in their dorms. Is it viable for a three day event? I don't know,
but it may be worth looking into.

Another factor to consider is how the costs are balanced. Waco or Killeen
would provide very affordable convention space and accomodations, but are a
bear to fly into. Both in terms of cost and inconvenience. DFW and Houston
would be quite affordable for travel, but much more pricey for the event
itself. Is this something we want to weigh? If so, how much?

As has been previously mentioned, the last two weeks of August are a bad
time for college students and professors, and I'd suggest aiming for more
midsummer. End of June/beginning of July. Horrible for the heat & such
around here, but if we're doing an indoor venue anyway it's not so much of
an issue.

Overall, I think it's a splendid idea for the Kingdom to host, and I'd love
to help in any capacity that y'all need. :)
