Greetings!
I am helping the Atenveldt webminister create a memorial area on the
Atenveldt webpage for Atenveldt members who have passed away.  I brought
photo's out of friends who had died to last year's Estrella and posted them
in the main court area as a memorial.  I included many of my friends from
other kingdoms that have died over the yearso too.  I have been in the SCA
for nearly thirty-three years and have an amazingly large circle of good
friends, but the down side is that I have lost a lot of them over the years.
Some just quit playing, or moved away, but others are gone in a more
permanent way, and I sought a way to honor them.
 
The friend I am trying to track down is Master Tagan the Talesmith.  He
received his Pelican in 1977, so he should be one of your older peers, if he
is still around, which he was as recent as 1996 when he received the order
of the Sable Comet in Ansteorra. He was an old man when I joined in 1975, so
I am pretty sure he is no longer with us, but I would appreciate any news
you might have of his final years.  He was, as his name states, quite the
Talesmith, and a wonder to behold.
