Tostig noted:
"A precedent was established at this most recent Coronation and witnessed by the Star Principal Herald and Kingdom Seneschal. Baronies and Provinces marched ahead of other Ansteorra Branches. Cantons marched independently from their parent Baronies. Both groupings marched in order of their creation."

It was done as noted which does de facto create a precedent. But, I would be cautious about looking at it as an absolute precedent. As I noted on Friday, in agreement with Francois, the intent of the march may dictate the order separate from any question of precedence. In the case of this last weekend at coronation, when the groups were announced in the order they were announced, it was because Her (stepping up) Majesty wanted to visibly make the point that the Crown does not just serve the kingdom as an amorphous whole but, in her interpretation, serves each group and person as well. She wanted each group called out on its own merits so cantons were not placed along with their baronies but came in of their own accord (and after shires).

So, intent dictated this order, in this case.
