For the sake of clarity, and Ivo, please correct me if I'm wrong, but Ivo asked 
"...what, exactly we should put on top of the banner pole."  To me, this sounds 
like he was asking about the design of a heraldic finial, not what heraldry 
should go on the banner itself.  I was a bit confused by the direction some of 
the answers were going, so I just wanted to make sure we were looking at what 
was asked.
