[ANSTHRLD] Herald's Point Question

I think the question of what the herald can/should/does wear has been
fairly well addressed, and so far all of the information is wonderful,
and very helpful.

However, the original question is about a posted banner and not a word
tabard. And yes, I think I furthered this rabbit trail myself, so I
certainly have no room to complain.

And as Danielis (or however he's spelling it) pointed out, the
implications of a worn insignia and a posted insignia differ
considerably.

What I am trying to say with the banner is "event related heraldry
starts here." As for the individual site heralds, I know that, at
least for Mooneschadowe, we typically do not give them tabards, but do
advise them to have on running shoes (and you think I'm joking).

But, in this case, I am looking to signify one step above that, the
"go-to" point for heraldry.

As as been pointed out, I could easily just put the crossed trumpets
up on a banner pole, and might still. But, considering all of the
SCAisms out there that are not historically accurate, I am interested
in not creating, or perpetuating one if it can/should be avoided.

Also, the failsafe for this is that even if my idea falls through for
some reason, another banner on display on an event ground should help
with the general ambiance of the event, if nothing else.
