I checked Misplaced names in reaney & wilson, Middle English Nicknames,
and the Middle English Dictionary at
http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/m/mec/med-idx?size=First+100&type=orths&q1=cild*&rgxp=constrained
and didn't find it.  It might be researched as a constructed English byname.
