At least at one time, "complete change of tincture" did not apply in
these cases: it wasn't interpreted as "every pixel changes" (for
example, that would clear "Per pale azure and Or" versus "Per pale Or
and azure"), but it was instead interpreted as "no tincture in one
coat appears in the other".  Though that may have been overturned
since.

Also, the rulings you quoted did not mention "complete change of
tincture", which instantly clears the two pieces regardless of CDs,
but instead counted CDs.

That said: unless those precedents have been overruled, they are good
illustrations of why the two designs are clear.  Thank you.
