So then she goes with Beonne seo brune as I suggested, right?  Not sure about 
the capitalization of the color though.  Reading the primary texts 
capitalization is rare in the first place early and then later used emphatically 
or only with names.  I believe the only capitals in Beowulf even are the one 
which make up the first half of the opening line.  Of course there even Beowulf 
shows up as beo wulf at times so aparently spacing was random too. :)

I also note that Bosworth-Toller's dictionary has been used in the
past for documentation.

Also note, from the 01/97 LoAR Leofleor Seó Reod. R- Caid:

The byname needs only a little work. First, seo is the definite
article; it should not be capitalized, and the accent, a modern
editorial indication of vowel length, should be dropped. (It is in any
case misplaced, the diphthong actually being éo.) Clark Hall does give
réod `red', but réad is more usual and the ancestor of modern red. The
adjective is in the weak declension after the definite article: seo
Reode or seo Reade, of which the latter is apparently more likely.

So that right there seems to indicate that, so long as the spelling of
the Anglo-Saxon Brown is correct, Laurel should allow registration of
this descriptive byname.

Andrewe, not a Anglo-Saxon expert, but I did sleep at a holiday inn
express last night!
