[ANSTHRLD] Conflict check

When you say "two owls addorsed Or" are you describing the whole bird or the wing position?

The posture of Owls is "close guardant" by SCA Default, so my first thought was the birds themselves were back-to-back.  http://heraldry.sca.org/coagloss.html#default

If the wings are "elevated and addorsed", that's a whole different type of conflict check.  I do not know if the owl was "frequently found" in the rising posture in Period.  If not, they conflict with any other "regular shaped" birds in that posture.  See 'From Wreath: Birds and Substantial Difference' in the Nov 2003 LoAR Cover Letter. http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/2003/11/03-11cl.html

Could someone run a conflict check for

per chevron inverted vert and gules, a cross bottony and two owls addorsed or?

With thanks,
