[ANSTHRLD] Blazon and conflict help (Wolf head and mitre)

The bishop's mitre has a raised point in the center and is the shape familiar from Staunton chess pieces. The cardinal's galero is a broad brimmed red hat with tassles.

It strikes me that specifically registering either is presumptuous...unless the submitter has one of those ecclesiastical offices.

What is the visual difference between a mitre and a cardinal's hat?  I 
don't have a pic dic to look at.
