Magnus has one method. I searched for the blazon pattern "sheaf of
three", and merely since 2010 there have been
- a sheaf of three swords
- a sheaf of three arrows
- a sheaf of three keys
In the decade before (and there hasn't been much change in blazonry
since then):
- a sheaf of three wheat stalks
- A sheaf of three lavender sprigs
- a sheaf of three needles
- a sheaf of three arum lilies
- a sheaf of three spears
- a sheaf of three lightning bolts
I think this is better than "two in saltire and one more in pale".
