abstracts for this session, with the aim of bringing together established
scholars and current students interested in personal and/or place-names.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We hope to have sufficient submissions
for a session on personal names and one on place-names—or at least sufficient
submissions for two sessions combining the two areas.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Proposals should relate clearly to
either personal names or place-names.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P>

titles will be forwarded to Dr. Paul A. Johnson, who must decide how many
sessions to propose to the 2006 Congress Committee by May 15,

sessions shall have a primary linguistic focus on personal or place-names in
languages spoken and/or written between AD 450-1600.</SPAN></B><B><SPAN

<P><B><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 13.5pt">Papers should be
designed to be 20 minutes long; audiovisual equipment and assistance is
available if indicated at the time of submission of the
abstract.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P>

adhere to the following rules, established by the Board of the Medieval

attached to the back of the abstract, even if no A-V or computer is
needed. Late A-V requests cannot be met.<SPAN

is OCTOBER 1, 2005.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This is a
firm deadline; no abstract received after that date can be considered for the
