The key is typically "non-drowsy formula". This at least means no
antihistamines (which I personally don't like in treating colds as they
stop the mucous up, not let it clear out as they should. Antihistamines are
for allergies.) If this phrase is used on a cold remedy, it typically
contains pseudoephedrine or phenylpropranolamine (don't trust my spelling
on that one!) which typically has much worse side-effects than sudafed.
