HERB - Mint

I have no idea if this has been covered (I am new to the list as of this
morning), but the only way I have been able to KILL mint (other than letting
my husband 'shave' the plant for mint jelly) has been to deny it dirt. But
then, my oregano, thyme, and parsley never died completely last winter (I
live in the Hudson/Delaware Valley in New York State). I generally put all
of my plants outside on the south side of the house for Pennsic, and ask the
person feeding my cats to 'feed' my plants too.
