Sorry, I wasn't making much sense, I was just differentiating between pinks 
and carnations when honestly I wouldn't know one if I fell on it <G>.  I have 
to actually grow something to be able to ID it (the reason for my questions, 
I would like to try growing clove pinks).  It doesn't appear in any of my 
early period sources for that region.
