Thanks with the Info you have provided me I've been able to deduce from the
Web how it got here. It frequently infects alfalfa seed. Alfalfa is the
main commercial crop here. We have horrible winds. and vast expanses that
have nothing blocking the way. To say nothing of birds who eat seeds and
redistribute them. I also discovered they get rid of it with crop burners.
Not a problem here I can just burn it again. This also explains why I was
able to get rid of it in one bed. If it were a fungus originating in the
soil cooking it would not have worked in either bed. I'm going out right
now and look at this thing close.
