HERB - bug repellent

I know that pennyroyal and tansy are used for insect repellant
properties. You do need to be careful with pennyroyal as it will cause
miscarriage in both humans and pets. My local herb shop completely sells
out of the essential oils of both of these herbs this time of year. I
would expect to be able to mix the essential oils of each in a base of
Everclear or vodka, starting with smaller amounts and working up until
youv'e found an effective ratio.

If I remember rightly, we had an insect repellant discussion this time
last year.
