HERB - bug repellent

In B. Griggs The Green Witch Herbal (one of my favorite non-period herbal 
guide books) she lists Lavender as a flea, moth, and general insect 
repellent.  It works.  I use lots of lavender and rarely have pests problems. 
 She doesn't list Lavender as a mosquito repellent, but I don't seem to get 
bit when wearing it.  Griggs does list eucalyptus (yech!), cloves, geranium, 
peppermint, rosemary, and citronella as mosquito repellents.
