HERB - bug repellent- aphids

Something I'm curious about, I heard years ago to gather up the little 
critters that were eating your yard, put them in the blender with several 
cups of water.  Then put the resulting bug juice in a sprayer and spray the 
plants.  
Personally, I think I'd find a blender at garage sale.  Don't think my 
strawberry daquaris would ever taste the same.
