This is going to sound odd, but find the medication called Chiggerex. Yes,
Chiggerex. It is a chigger remedy that dries out the pistules and stops
the itching of poison ivy/oak/sumak. I should know. I swear I can catch
the stuff by thinking of it. I keep Chiggerex on hand at all times. You
want to have it dry and anesthetized. Last time I bought Chiggerex it was
in a white plastic jar with red writing.

Also, it spreads thru the contents of the blisters/pistules. You must keep
the wet portions of the poison ivy cleaned and covered to stop the
spreading. Others with a sensitivity could actually catch it from you thru
those fluids in the blisters.

You can catch poison ivy from the juice of the plant left on hems of
clothing or pants. Even if you are covered when you walk thru it you can
catch it later. *giggle* I know, I ended up with the rash at ankle level,
thigh level and ahem, higher as I hiked up my skirts for a pit stop later
in the weekend.

Good luck, Ulrike the Franke
