How are you making them "crack"?   Let us know how you are doing what you
are doing!  

Hey, somebody mentioned Fimo - that might be easier as you don't have to
make anything.  Fimo makes a really good rock.  A friend of ours made some
very cool reproductions of castles with Sculpy/Fimo.
