Most large herb stores and companies carry goldenseal. For instance, you

But there are concerns about using it so much these days, as it is becoming
over-harvested in the wild, and is difficult to cultivate. A number of
herbalists are suggesting substituting Oregon Grape root for goldenseal, as
it has many of the same properties. It also has the benefit of being less
expensive, probably due to being so easy to grow. It's used as a landscape
plant all over this area, at least! Both my folks and my mother in law have
it around their houses--I keep threatening to do a little pruning....... ;-)
