HERB - Kava

just for the heck of it I looked up Kava in my Tabers' Medical Dictionary.  " 1. Root of Piper Methysticum, a tropical shrub.  2.  A Polynesian beverage made form the root of Piper methysticum.  It has the effect of a tranquilizer and muscle relaxant with caffeinelike properties. Ccontinued use may cause a scaly skin disease."  I find it kind of strange that this reliable sorce is so vague about the "scaly skin disease."  Oh well, thought I'd throw this in for what it is worth.
