HERB - Books & Courses

I thought I'd try to hit as many people with this as possible.
I am looking for a list of good books on herbal medicine, herbal properties and cultivation.  
Also does anyone know of any distance learning herbalism/herbal medicine courses in the UK.  Preferably theory at a distance but with schools at the weekend/week aways.
Hope that is reasonably clear.
