HERB - Sinus help?

I don't have any stellar recommendations for the sinus trouble in
general, but I do have a good cough syrup recipe, if you would like to
try it.

Start with equal parts of honey, lemon juice (bottled is fine) and brandy
(or rum or bourbon - whatever is cheap). To a pint of this mixture I add
about 1 - 2 tablespoons of mixed herbs (see below). I usually let it
stand a couple of weeks, then filter through a coffee filter folded into
a cone and put in a funnel. Although a friend made some up in the
blender and used it the next day (she needed it right away) and said it
still worked.

I usually mix the herbs and keep them around for when I need them - they
can also be used to make an infusion ("tea") - sweeten with honey and add
a lemon. I use hoarhound and licorice root (in equal parts the hoarhound
doesn't make it so bitter). I usually add some chamomile for flavor, but
it is not essential. Also echinacea, mullein, coltsfoot, sage
(especially good for sore throat and laryngitis), pleurisy root -
whatever your favorite herbs for coughs and colds are. Almost everybody,
including children, likes this, and it works really well. Hope it helps.
