HERB - Peppermints and gardening

I'm also guilty of killing a peppermint planted in the ground <G> (however 
I've had good luck with peppermint in pots).  I've also killed 2 lemon balms 
which a friend of mine swears is unkillable.

So, it's THAT time of year again.  What is everyone planting <G>?
