HERB - witch hazel

What you want is herbs where the fragrance will extract into alcohol,
since witch hazel is essentially tincture of witch hazel bark. Besides
the rosemary that you mention, I would think peppermint might be nice,
maybe cloves, any of the citrus fruits (put the rind in and shake it some
every day for a while). I tried tincturing rose petals one time, and it
sorta worked. After leaving the herb in the witch hazel for a couple of
weeks or until it smells nice, you will probably want to filter the herbs
out so you have a clear liquid again (though it will probably have some
color to it.) I would suggest small batches at first, till you find out
which things work well. Please let us know what works and what doesn't!
