I have the same problem (allergy to bees wax)
and have been looking at Animal Fats
duck fat seems the most viscous but I have only
saved and frozen it
being happier with my modern Aqueous Cream BP82
ingredients
White soft Paraffin bp 15%
Liquid Paraffin 6%
Emulsifying wax 9%
Phenoxyethanol 1%
It's a water Miscible Crean Base
as a base i'ts great for adding stuff too but as the
500 g pot I brought has lasted forever the
convenience has Stopped me from experimenting
It is not period but it is usable
