I, too, would like a citation for this. It's one of those SCA statements (like, bananas
before fighting will cause cramp) that I've never seen proven or even mentioned in a
reliable mundane source.

Does anyone know anything about restrictions on growing  crozophora tinctoria in the US,
though? I couldn't find any USDA warnings on it in a quick search.
