Hi A while ago I posted a list of herbs and spices
used in danish recipies- Translated by a dane speaker

I was asked for the books names Since my computor has
been IFFy i decided to repost

the books are:

"Til taffel hos kong Valdemar" by Hans Veirup - this
is a repub of the
two Harpestreng manuscripts with modern "redactions"
which are to be
completely ignored, but the original recipes are also
listed.

and

"Aeldste Danske Koge Bog prentet i Kiobenhaffn 1616" -
a facsimile
copy done by Wormianum in Arhus 1966.

Both can be bought from the museum shop at the
national museum of
denmark, at www.natmus.dk Also I was reading a general
herb book and Came across a reference to Vegetable
Sheep apparently in John Gerard- something like
Barnacle Geese

and a reference to herbs used to make Beans more
digestable???-Indian? the only herb that I link with
beans is winter savoury

any body got any ideas??
