PDR = Physicians Desk Reference.  Published by Medical Economics Staff.

They also publish PDRs for prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs
and nutritional supplements.  The one for prescription drugs is often
critisized for publishing only the information that is provided to them
by the drug companies about their drugs, rather than independent data -
especially since those drug companies also pay heavily for their
inclusion.  Nevertheless, it's an extremely common reference material.
I don't know if the herbal one fits the same mold.
