          Looking for something cool and interesting to do this weekend in the Houston area??  
  Check out Museum District Day, these 14 area Houston museums open their doors for free.  
  Take a peek at museums you don't normally visit or return to an old favorite.  
  Special exhibits will probably still have a fee, but the general museum areas should be free.  
  Wear your walking shoes!

  Houston Center for Contemporary Crafts (great basket exhibit right now).

Fourteen of the city's art institutions open their doors. The artwork is complemented by music, refreshments, performances, special activities and workshops.
