The Houston Gem and Mineral Guild Show is this weekend, Nov. 13-15
at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Pkwy, Humble 
(just north on I-59)  Parking is free!

This show has lots of displays on gemstones, lapidary, silversmithing, paleography, raw minerals and fossils.  
Lots of educational stuff for the kiddo's and adults alike. 
Vendors will be selling tools, books, materials, as well as finished products (think Yule gifts). 
There are online pictures of the show at the link, to give you an idea of what it's all about.  
(NOTE:  This is not the International Gem Show at the Reliant).
This is a great show to get started at for first-time jewelers and metalsmiths.
