For those SCA'ers with avid young readers who maybe familiar with the youth book series 'The Lost Years of Merlin', 
you may be interested in the event this weekend at the main branch downtown of the Houston Public Library:

The Schedule on Saturday: Saturday, May 8, 2010
11 – 12 PM  Private lunch for 50 selected contest winners with author T. A. Barron., Lunch by Powers Culinary Creations
12:30 – 3:30 PM (Concourse Level)  
--Bobbindoctrin Puppet Workshop 
--Arts & Crafts – Shields & Balloon Swords
--The Society for Creative Anachronisms Arts & Crafts Tables 
--Chocolate Fountain and Cookie Decorating

12:30 – 3:30 PM (Kids Room – 4th floor)  Arts & Crafts – Crowns & Wands 
12:30 – 1 PM (Program Place – 4th floor) Event with children’s author T. A. Barron (ages 8 – 12)
1:30 – 2:15 PM (Program Place – 4th floor) “Lion, Witch and Wardrobe” Play by AD Players
2:30 – 3:30 PM (Program Place – 4th floor) Wrock Band, Kwikspell 

It's a whole lot going on for the youth!  And the SCA will be there as well with arts demos.
