Hello all ,  I find myself with a longer stay in Houston then i had first 
planned.  To my fortune this means I will be able to attend at least 2 local 
events and many practices, however....  My swords are in much need or repair,  
or quite more to the point frankly they need to be replaced. 


If anyone out there has a line on a stave of rattan that could be sold, and can 
help me secure some simple tools ( knife, drill, Allen keys, wood rasp) i would 
me much indebted to you if you could help me coordinate an few hrs with you, the 
rattan and the tools...

Also, as i have several days to my slelf if anyone knows of plans that I might 
join in on I would be great full for diversions this weekend and beyond.  I have 
scoped out practices and events all around, so far Lochtober fest, and Defend 
the Fort are on my itinerary as well as Practices on Tuesdays..  I might if i 
get truly daring make the run up to Dallas Sunday for the practice there if 
anyone was interested in the journey  I would accept the guide and company as 
even trade

Bardic, and fighting are my only to things I can even pretend to clam competence 
at..  weaving is interesting but I've had less then rudimentary introductions to 
it. Kumihimo is my current frustra ,..  err endeavor..
