[Hou-announce] Moving / purging garage sale - "Come and take it off our hands!"

Folks,

Susan (Sahirah in the SCA) and I will be moving towards the end of October
or early November (still in the Houston area). In preparation for that,
we'll be jettisoning as much stuff as we can. Books, clothes, bookcases,
desks, baby furniture, a couple of adult bicycles, a lawnmower... things
that we won't have room for, and aren't worth storing, or which we should
have found new homes for long since.

This will be a NEIGHBORHOOD garage sale, and it's a fairly nice neirhborhood
(Autumn Creek in Friendswood, near FM 528 @ Bay Area Blvd), so it's a great
way to get some premium garage-sale shopping done even if you don't find
what you're looking for at ours.

Date: Saturday, October 16 (rain date October 23)
Place: 3136 Indian Summer Trail, Friendswood, TX 77056
(Google maps shows the location just fine)
Time: 10:00 am

Please come by and shop.

IMPORTANT: we're serious about needing to pass this stuff on. Like everyone
these days, we could very much use whatever cash this garage sale brings us.
But whatever we don't sell, we still want to pass on. The alternative is
taking the clothes to a donation center and putting the rest on the curb on
heavy trash day, and that's just silly.

Our friends and extended SCA family are all honorable people, and we have no
doubt of that. If you can offer some cash in exchange for treasures, please
come early. If you really aren't in a position to offer a few bucks, but
could make a new home for any of the things I listed, PLEASE COME ANYWAY,
but come later -- after 2:00 pm would be fine. We'll stay set up until at
least 4:00 pm. We'd rather see something find a new home among our extended
family than just send it to a dump.
