<P align=left><FONT face=Arial size=2>The Texas Renaissance Festival announces its <A href="http://web.hermesemessenger2.com/trf/public/UsageTracker/usage_tracker.asp?targeturl=http://www.texrenfest.com/schooldays.html&issueid=211&EmailAddress=greenem7@yahoo.com" target=_blank rel=nofollow><STRONG><FONT color=#0000ff>6th Annual School Days</FONT></STRONG></A> event to be held on <STRONG>Tuesday and Wednesday, November 2nd and 3rd</STRONG>. The two-day event, offered exclusively to public, private and home schooled students and sponsors, allows young people to experience first-hand the life, culture and history of the Renaissance Period.</FONT></P>
<P align=left><FONT face=Arial size=2>Students can interact with a variety of <STRONG>historical characters</STRONG> including King Henry VIII, William Shakespeare, and Christopher Columbus. Period entertainments include the <STRONG>Royal Jousting Tournament, Birds of Prey Falconry Exhibition</STRONG> as well as numerous other stage and path performances. Technological advances and discoveries of the Renaissance Age are illustrated through <STRONG>demonstrations</STRONG> in <STRONG>pottery, glass blowing, blacksmithing, armor making</STRONG> and other diverse arts and trades. Students can visit a working reproduction of the <STRONG>Gutenberg Printing Press</STRONG> and a <STRONG>16th Century coin mint</STRONG>.</FONT></P>
<P align=left><FONT face=Arial size=2>Students can enhance their <STRONG>School Days</STRONG> experience by participating in a variety of <STRONG>contests</STRONG> including art, poetry and essay writing, and a costume contest. Intermediate, Jr. High and High School choirs, bands and theater groups may compete in the <STRONG>Performing Arts Festival</STRONG> held during <STRONG>School Days</STRONG>.</FONT></P>
<P align=left><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>Tickets for students and chaperones are <STRONG>$6</STRONG> per person if purchased by <STRONG>October 1st, 2010</STRONG>. After October first, the ticket price is <STRONG>$8</STRONG> per person.
