Greetings, Lindenwood,

Since we don't have a newsletter, I feel like I need to talk to all you
Lindenwoodians...Lindenwooders...Lindenwoodies.... populace of
Lindenwood.....You know who you are.....

Anyway, we have been seeing some growth in our group with new people showing
up here online and at our meetings. This is a Good Thing! (I'm waving to
Diana, Dee, Robin, Jarred, and other new/old folks lurking out there in
e-mail land!).

Thanks to Lady Amiliona and Lady Maria for getting our meetings rooms
reserved until December 2007. We will continue to meet on the 1st Thursday
of each month at the Jaycee Arts Center, although we will be in the larger
room most of the time. Darn, we may just have to fill that room!

The bids for the Knight Marshal's office will close June 1st. All
applications need to be in to the Central Regional Knight Marshal, Morgan
Buchanan, with cc: to myself and the Knight Marshal of the Steppes. Lord
Phelippe is applying but other applicants are also invited. Many Thanks to
Regina and Micheau for being interested but honest about their busy and
sometimes unpredictable lives.

Something to think about...If we were to have an official fighter practice,
when and where should we have it?

I am taking bids for the Yule Revel, December 2006. We may be able to get
the Jaycee Arts Center one Saturday in December, but we need to do it soon.
It will be an off-calendar event.

Steppes Warlord (Memorial Day Weekend) will be busy and fun! Look for Xene,
Sunnifa, and Maria - we planning on having a Lindenwood encampment. Our
Canton is serving a luncheon for TRM, the Vicar and Vicaress, and TRH. This
will be a donated luncheon. Sunnifa will put out a list of foods that she
would like us to bring and if you can bring a dish on her list, please let
her know. She is in charge of this activity.

At Warlord, Maria will be working at the Herald's Table in the hall both
days. I will be standing guard at Caelin's vigil in the afternoon.

I will be going to the Steppes Storage unit on Memorial day to help with the
off-loading and to pick up Lindenwood's equipment that we will need for the
"Believe It or Not!" (BIOT) event.

Wow! Lady Maria has been organizing this event like crazy! She will be
putting out more information about it, but it will be a great little event.
And for only $5 per adult on Saturday, June 10th. There is no feast, so it's
BYOF (Bring your own food). She still needs teachers and volunteers, too.

The map is in the May Black Star and should be up on the webpage soon along
with a class schedule. There are going to be some COOL classes.

Any plans for the 4th of July? Party anyone?

On the 29th of July, Master Philip is autocrating the Queen's
Championship/Masqued Ball for HRH Brita. HL Saqra will be cooking the
sideboard, so I'm sure it will be scrumteous....scrumptuious....mmm...yummy!
Fighting during the day in a lovely shaded park, then the ball at night. The
theme is "The Garden", so we hope to see lovely Roses in abundance. More
info to come on this event and the webpage will be up soon (I hope). It's at
the same location as BIOT. (It's in Irving, at the corner of Shady Grove and
Senter.)

BTW, there is a public swimming pool across Senter where the fighters can
shower off and take a swim with the kids in the afternoon at either event.
