While reading through the A&S list, I came upon the reference for this site:
SOAR - Searchable Online Archive of Recipes,  http://soar.Berkeley.EDU/recipes

This is a trove of cooking info as well as bath, beauty and household items.  
Not period in most cases but useful.  There is a Medieval section with 
disclaimers.
