861 al-Mutawakkil, Caliph, murdered by his Turkish guard.
1189 Richard I (England) sails for the Holy Land.
1192 Richard I ( England) "the Lion-Hearted" captured near Vienna at the
village of Ganina on the Danube, by Leopold of Austria. Richard was
disguised as a cook. Leopold imprisoned him at Dornstein castle.
