Greetings from Meridies!

The rain has departed, once again leaving us with a warm and sunny day. Fian Ruadh managed to rouse themselves enough to go to armor inspection, so that we would fight in the Ressurection Battle. Amber and I had to change rooms at the Georgetowne on extremely short notice this morning so that we could stay here Friday and Saturday nights and not have to move to a motel in Hattiesburg, so I was very nearly late for the morning inspection. But everything got done, and five of us, with the addition of a newbie that came with Wiley, took to the ravine in the afternoon.

Resurection Point was at the end of the ravine this time instead of up the hill - a huge improvement in logistics, much less wearing on the legs. We fell in beside the Arthurians, with Conor and I fighting with the House Mac fiberglass spears, and managed to have a great deal of fun and kill a number of Trimarians at the same time - or maybe that was the fun part. We were in the thick of battle most of the time, and contributed to the Ansteorran victory in the battle.

Polydore, Dunstan and Daniel set to work to deep-fry the turkeys for supper as soon as battle was done, and we were assured by our friends of Axemoor that the meal we supplied was most acceptable. Wiley did a great job scrubbing the pots after supper, for which he deserves a hearty vivat and my personal thanks (it meant I didn't have to do it (grin)).

We shared our a little Gryphon's Gold, some Loki's and a few songs before Amber and I decided to head off to the motel to sleep. I must be getting old - Amber asked if I wanted to drop her off and go back to camp and sing some more, and I said no, I'd rather go to sleep. Guess I'm getting too old to be running up and down ravines.

We await the arrival of Bjorn, who estimates that he will arrive about 3:30am - much to the dismay of Constance, who says that she is a very light sleeper, and Polydore who is providing Bjorn with tent space.

Tomorrow brings the field battles - more about that tomorrow.

We are making sure that everyone knows that Loch Ruadh is here, great in spirit if not in numbers.

Wish you all were here.
