[Loch-ruadh] Location for Lughnasad

Greetings!

Dana and I think we have found the location to hold
Lughnasad.  We went to Glaslyn's Defender of the Flame
event yesterday, held at Camp Burnett in South Lake,
and it looks perfect.  You can check out the photos I

but they don't really do the place justice.

I should have gotten a better shot of the list field -
it is a large enough area to have both a light and
heavy list at once, with plenty of room to put
pavilions around.  The area immediately beside the
list field will make a great children's/misty forest
area.  The main field is large enough to accomodate an
archery field, camping around the tree line, and a
merchant's area.  The permanent pavilion will be great
place for feast, and there is an area off to the right
of the road leading up to the ranger's house for
parking, plus a separate parking area.  The camping
areas are large and shaded.  There is water on site,
and one water point is beside a concrete slab where we
can set up an outdoor shower.  Baron Fritz of the
Steppes has graciously offered us the use of a shower
enclosure he built.  Best of all, it is near us - it
took me less than half an hour to get there from my
home in west Fort Worth.

I'm going to talk to the contact for the camp tonight
and see if we can reserve it for our event dates.  I
will post the answer as soon as I have it.
